For those who don't know it yet, War2hack is a crack program for Warcraft developed by Shaft (not to be confused with Shaf). It installs itself in the RAM after the game has been launched - there was no defense against it before the patch came out.

Now, Blizzard has made a patch against the hack. It is only available for people with the American expansion right now, but a version for non-expansion users, Macs and maybe even different languages is being made.

This shows that Blizzard has taken the patch seriously. They cannot afford to have a popular game die soon again like Diablo did, and they thus show that people can expect Starcraft to be a fair, unhacked game.
